f'n horse 2
I've been terrible the past two weeks, I have also gained 2 lbs, and I think that was all yesterday. Jen is kicking our asses. Thank goodness for the president because I feel terribly guilty for not exercising and have at least done a LITTLE the past two days so I can earn my star for the week. Today is sugar out day and I am DETERMINED that I'm going to have a great week coming up.

the good, the bad, and the getting better
well, i went to the gym today. and...it wasn't totally busy! yay for others breaking resolutions. i gained 2 lbs. that was bad. but not unexpected. but i got a parking spot right next to the building! that was good. but i couldn't tan because the next slot was an hour after i planned to be outta there. that was bad. but here's to getting back on the horse!

What I hate about....
Dunkin Donuts
Firstly, I will say they smell good. But that's all I like about them.
What i hate about them is that they smell good and they make you want them. Someone at work brought several dozen of the things into the office today. Luckily for me I was able to resist them because they were all either frosted of filled - but I won't congratulate myself yet - there's 3 hours left.

Well you guys are doing much better than I am. I've been in a rut. I haven't gained anything, but i haven't lost either. If it would JUST FRIGGING WARM UP a little so i can go for a damn walk. It doesn't help that I've had to work every single day and when I haven't been working I've been TRYING to keep my house so you can at least walk through it. Ok I'll stop bitching. I'm feeling like a positive week must be around the corner.

179...and 1 minute!
Well I weighed myself today. The gym wasn't...packed, but it was still fairly busy. I did weigh myself, 179. I have been proud of myself this week. I've been eating well. AND my BIG accomplishment was today. Had to struggle with myself to go to the gym, but I did. Somehow I managed to run my mile AND i ran an extra minute! which is not quite another 10th of a mile. but A WHOLE OTHER MINUTE! WOO-HOO! baby steps.

No excuse.
No gym today. I have PMS. No gym tomorrow. I will have DMS. No gym Friday--I have a wii date with the girls (it was originally a karaoke date but one of them couldn't get a sitter). Gym Saturday. I've been doing great about avoiding candy though.
I was HOPING I'd inherit those boots! (Insert evil laugh here).
I'm down 4.5 lbs. Hurray! According to the fat belly diet, I'm supposed to eat nuts and avocado and olive oil. I refuse to eat olives though. This is NOT my diet, it was just the diet they profiled on the Today show yesterday.
I went to Vanceboro with my back of dried fruit and nuts and survived just fine.
I see that Edita has a dance workout video. That might be my 10 lb present to myself. Maybe.

my feet hurt
I think my boots are too big.
Anyway, I'm not telling you what I weigh or what my goal is because I don't have a goal really. Here's my update today:
30 min on treadmill, burned 250 calories.
Getting back up to my pre-holiday routine...painful.

I'm not going to set a goal, I just want to look halfway near decent. I actually MOSTLY started right after xmas because I had lost 7 pounds and gained 4 back almost instantly (even after not having much pie). I guess the shortbread cookies made up for it.
Anyway, I've been walking a little more every day since....and yes, I too, have started running. Not much - I can't run, you know that, none of us can. But I ran the length of two telephone polls then walked four then ran two etc. Which was better than yesterday, when I could only run 1.
I also put a jar on my mantle to put my pounds in as I lose them, I figure if I'm staring right at it, I might not eat a bag of chips while I'm watching football.

180 1/3/09
So over 2008 I lost 20 pounds. When I started Weight Watchers in 2/08 I weighed a whopping 197 lbs. But i lost 20 pounds from then until the end of summer and have managed it pretty well. I've been going to the gym regularly and even worked up to running 1-mile.
I decided to wait a week to weigh myself after getting back from New Hampshire. That whole week before was pretty much a non-stop feeding/drinking frenzy. When I went for a physical the Tuesday after returning I even refused to be weighed. I knew I gained, I could feel it and wanted a week to get myself back on a normal routine.
So I went to the gym for a week and tried to get back into the swing of things exercise-wise. Eating is still going to be an issue as I have wasted all my funds during Christmas. So I'm living on hot dogs and doritos and lean pockets. I have to say that when you stop going to the gym for even 2 weeks, you really feel it when you go back. But I weighed myself on 1/03 and I weighed in at 180 lbs. Not too too bad.
So this is my starting point, 180. My goals this year are to lose another 20 and be able to run 2 miles. LOOK OUT!!!!
